To help you comply with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) new industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emission rule (40 CFR part 98), Sierra offers several certified GHG emissions reduction flowmeters that calculate CO2-equivalent emissions.

The EPA’s compulsory reporting requirements that govern GHG production – implemented in January 2010 – are aimed at U.S. companies that release more than 25,000 tons per year of CO2 equivalent. Each Sierra Green house Gas flowmeter meets EPA requirements, and the technology provides an accurate, economical method to measure methane or natural gas burned and assess emission of carbon dioxide.
Sierra has extensive experience in producing gas flow meters for methane (CH4), as well as N20, SF6, HFCs and PFCs, which are also included in the EPA mandate.
In response to this new challenge facing our customers, Sierra has certified several meters ideal for GHG measurement meeting all requirements defined by the new EPA rule. Look for our GHG Certified logo throughout the site to identify our GHG flow meters. In addition to new meters, Sierra can rapidly certify and recalibrate your existing Sierra meters so that you can immediately meet the new requirements. |
