Mixing of an oil stream is critical
if operators want to obtain the highest possible accuracy
and repeatability, whether it is in watercut measurement
or online sampling of hydrocarbons - spot sampling or
automatic grab sampling . A system must be engineered
in such a way that meaningful data can be obtained in
the field. Very often, too much attention is paid to
the performance measurement of a final element, rather
than a more objective approach which requires compliance
to methods and standards . They keywords here are “representative
sample” and “homogeneous mixture.”
Since we are drawing samples to calibrate a watercut
meter or simply to bring to a lab for analysis, those
samples must be representative of what is contained
in the flowing stream. The only way to ensure that the
sample is valid or that the online measurement is valid
is to ensure that the sample has been mixed thoroughly.
Since EESIFLO already manufacture watercut monitors
and static mixers with sampling ports , we can simplify
the process by manufacturing complete one piece spool
solutions that cater to your measurement/sampling requirements.
This takes away the need to rely on multiple vendors
for the different components required to make up a system.
The pictures below show some typical variations of the
MBW system.
The choice is yours ! You may prefer
to purchase all the components required to facilitate
adequate mixing , spot sampling, online sampling and
watercut measurement or simplify the process by having
EESIFLO supply everything you need in a one piece MBW
system spool design .
The MBW system is a complete one piece
spool solution. It combines upstream mixing elements,
sample /isolation valves, pitot scoops and watercut
monitor. The system utilizes recomendations from ASME,
EMUUA, API, ISO standards and facilitates easy dependable
water in oil fiscalisation or measurement. It is available
from 4 inches to 48 inches and several materials including
carbon steel/stainless steel and exotic materials where
applicable. Sampling ports , hybrid flowmeters or additionally
engineered items can be added to the MBW carcass to
extract or monitor mixed oil and water regimes. The
system is fabricated ,boxed and shipped ready for quick
and easy installation. Start up assistance and service
is available in most major continents.
MBW systems are manufactured or fabricated
in our Singapore facility but can be supplied by local
vendors in most parts of the world. For more information,
